About the Division
The Third Division is one of the formations of the Nation's Shield Forces operating within an integrated system aimed at enhancing military readiness and consolidating principles of discipline and professionalism. The division attaches great importance to developing military personnel and improving their efficiency through continuous training and specialized qualification programs.

Division Command
Major General Adnan Ruzaiq Al-Qumaishi

He is considered the primary architect of breaking the historic siege of Taiz, where he founded and led the Hasm Battalions, which participated with immense bravery in expelling Houthi militia hosts and protecting the city from falling, emerging as a unique Yemeni commander who leads fighters from the front lines in the darkest hours.
Head of Taiz Axis Operations
He served as the Chief of Operations for the Taiz Military Axis, designing strategic plans for offense and defense and managing direct battles, which contributed to reinforcing military organization and raising the combat efficiency of fighters across the axis fronts.
Commanding the 5th Presidential Shield Brigade
He assumed command of the 5th Presidential Shield Brigade, an elite force with which he fought the fiercest direct battles and maintained its coherence and readiness, standing firm against security threats and betrayal, overcoming them with the steadfastness of a loyal republic fighter.
Master of Military Sciences
He refined his combat field experience with higher academic study, earning a Master's degree in Military Sciences from the State of Qatar, thereby combining the bravery of a field fighter with the wisdom of an academic military planner.
Commanding 7 Integrated Combat Brigades
Today, he commands the Third Division of the Nation's Shield Forces, supervising 7 combat brigades distributed across an expansive strategic operational theater stretching from Al-Wadeeah and Hadhramaut to Al-Mahrah and Abyan, dedicating his efforts to raising readiness and ensuring regional security and stability.
