Quwat Dira’ Al-Watan, backed by the Giants Forces and tribal fighters, seized the summit of Jabal Numan and the Kafir Tower overlooking the districts of Al‑Waziah and Al‑Mudarabah in Lahj in a rapid military operation. The mission began with a tightly coordinated night infiltration, followed by the encirclement of the site and a dawn assault that forced Houthi militia elements to retreat, leaving behind personnel casualties, weapons and ammunition.

Jabal Numan is a strategic high ground that dominates the supply routes between Al‑Waziah and Al‑Mudarabah, which the militias have used to monitor the area and shell surrounding villages and positions. Securing the summit helps protect the villages of Wadi Al‑Mudarabah and the outskirts of Al‑Waziah, reduces sources of Houthi threat and bombardment, and cuts one of the key infiltration routes.
