The acting Chief of Staff of Quwat Dira’ Al‑Watan, Major General Abdulrahman Saleh Hassan Al‑Lahji, met at the General Headquarters in the temporary capital Aden with 190 wounded and families of martyrs in two separate sessions dedicated to hearing their demands, reviewing their circumstances, and directing the competent authorities to promptly follow up on their cases and address what can be resolved. Major General Al‑Lahji affirmed that caring for the wounded and families of martyrs is a steadfast priority for the Command of Quwat Dira’ Al‑Watan, in gratitude for their national sacrifices, stating: “Our martyrs and wounded are a trust upon our necks; we will not abandon them and will continue to pursue their rights and stand by them.”
He noted that salary files, martyr entitlements, burial costs, and other rights are under direct monitoring by the force’s leadership to ensure rightful beneficiaries receive their dues. He also ordered the formation of field committees to inventory the cases and demands of martyrs’ families and the wounded, to follow them up with the competent authorities, and to submit periodic reports to accelerate their resolution, confirming that honoring the martyrs begins with caring for their families and attending to the wounded, and that this responsibility ranks among the top priorities of the Command of Quwat Dira’ Al‑Watan.
