The Sixth Brigade of the Second Division of Quwat Dira’ Al-Watan destroyed large quantities of smuggled and prohibited goods seized while carrying out security and inspection duties at the Al‑Wadeeah border crossing. The destroyed items included 80,290 buckets of tobacco, 1,123 buckets of shisha tobacco, 97 kg of shisha tobacco, 26.5 kg of tobacco, 13 kg of chewing tobacco, and 14 kg of ground qat, in accordance with the official and legal procedures in force.
The destruction operation is part of the continuous efforts of Quwat Dira’ Al-Watan to combat smuggling, counter attempts to introduce prohibited and contraband items, and strengthen security controls at the Al‑Wadeeah border crossing. The command of the Sixth Brigade reaffirmed its continued performance of security duties with vigilance and firmness, and will take the necessary measures against any attempts to compromise the crossing’s security or exploit it for smuggling operations.
